Sheng Puer differs from Shu Puer as it does not go through a fermentation process called Wodui (渥堆). Sheng Puer is naturally aged for several years. The most valued types are those Sheng puers that were aged for more than 5 years. The older Sheng puer becomes the richer the flavor is as well as aroma. Nevertheless more and more tea lovers prefer to enjoy young Sheng puer, as it provides natural tea leaf taste and aroma. Some people collect Sheng puer and keep it for long years, as its value increases through years like the value of some vines.
