The set for Chinese tea ceremony is covered with greenish brown mottled glaze from outside and crackle glaze from inside. The latter helps to reveal the full aroma of tea. A flat round teapot (150 ml) features a tight-fitting lid, an oblong narrow spout that evens te consistency of the brew and a large convenient handle that provides a secure grip. Around tea pitcher or cha hai (200 ml) serves to hold the infusion that was steeped in the teapot before serving. It has a pinched spout and convenient handle for accurate pouring of the tea. A deep and wide tea strainer with the silk net catches debris of the tea leaves. When not used the strainer is stored in the three-legged drip cup. Roundish footed tea cups (50 ml each) retain the heat of the infusion.
