The set for Gongfu сha ceremony is created to reveal all nuances of tea's flavor and taste. A tall rounded teapot (250 ml) has a tight-fitting lid and narrow spout for accurate pouring of the liquid. A long wooden handle doesn’t get hot. A rounded tea pitcher or cha hai (200 ml) is used to hold the tea after it was steeped in the teapot. A tea strainer with the silk net filters any debris of the tea leaves after brewing in the teapot. It is stored in the drip cup. A tea basin is necessary to keep the discarded water and tea leaves. In Gongfu tea ceremony the first infusion of the tea is used to warm the teapot and to rinse the tea leaves. After rinsing the water should be poured out into the basin. Flare shaped tea cups (35 ml) are sized for 3 sips: the first - a small one, the second - a main one, the third - to enjoy the aftertaste. Tea cups are served on coasters.
