The set for Gongfu сha ceremony is created to reveal all nuances of tea's flavor and taste. A cylinder teapot (185 ml) has a tight-fitting lid and wide spout that prevents over-brewing. A long wooden handle doesn’t get hot. A cylinder tea pitcher or cha hai (130 ml) is used to hold the tea after it was steeped in the teapot. A tea strainer with the silk net filters any debris of the tea leaves after brewing in the teapot. It is stored in the drip cup. A tea basin is necessary to keep the discarded water and tea leaves. In Gongfu tea ceremony the first infusion of the tea is used to warm the teapot and to rinse the tea leaves. After rinsing the water should be poured out into the basin. Cylinder tea cups (45 ml) are served on coasters.
